Halsey Without Me review

Without Me is a song by singer Halsey that was released on October 4, 2018. It serves as the lead single for the singer's upcoming third studio album Manic, which is scheduled to be release in 2020.

Without Me has been described by some music critics as "a breakup ballad" with Halsey seemingly talking about her ex G-Eazy after she was "cheated on in front of the entire world, like, a billion times.

She starts things off on the first verse singing:

Found you when your heart was broke
I filled your cup until it overflowed
Took it so far to keep you close (keep you close)
I was afraid to leave you on your own

Before coming in hit on the pre-chorus with:

I said I'd catch you if you fall (fall)
And if they laugh, then f**k 'em all (all)

Then, Halsey continues on the chorus with the lyrics:

Thinking you could live without me
Live without me
Baby, I'm the one who put you up there
I don't know why (I don't know why, yeah, yeah)

On the bridge, the singer channels "Cry Me A River" by Justin Timberlake with the lyrics:

You don't have to say just what you did (what you did)
I already know (I know)
I had to go and find out from them (oh-woah)

I am absolutely loving this song by Halsey. I have never seen her put the curtain back on herself and yet still portrays like a vulnerable side to her that we have never seen or heard before.
