Ellie Goulding "Lights" album review

Lights is the debut studio album by singer Ellie Goulding that was released on February 26, 2010, through Polydor Records. The album spawned different genres like folk-pop and synth-pop along with dance-pop music. On the Google Play version of Lights, the title track serves as the opening song for the album. It's a synth-pop song that talks about not being able to sleep with the lights off. Goulding on the beginning sings, "I had a way then/ Losing it on all my own/ I had a heart then/ But the queen has been overthrown/ And I'm not sleeping now/ The dark is too hard to beat/ And I'm not keeping up/ The strength I need to push me". Then on the chorus, she says, "You show the lights that stop me turn to stone/ You shine them when I'm alone/ So I tell myself that I'll be strong/ And dreaming when they're gone/ Cause they're calling, calling, calling me home/ Calling, calling, calling home/ You show the lights that stop me turn to stone/ You sh…

9 Best Ariana Grande Songs So Far

I am counting down the days until Ariana drops her Sweetener album! We have exactly nine days until Sweetener is released! But until then, let's take a look at some of the best songs that Ariana Grande has released so far in her discography:

1. No Tears Left to Cry
Everybody has to have a comeback song for their comeback album. So why not, Ariana Grande? Oh my gosh, man. When Ariana first released this song, I was so overjoyed! It was the first new music that I had heard from Grande in a long time. I have literally put this song on repeat on YouTube. This is one of my favorite songs by Ariana that I really love!

2. Dangerous Woman
I loved Ariana's last album Dangerous Woman and the title track for the album is very sultry. This midtempo song is so addicting. And the music video for it was amazing. You can see Grande sing an acapella version of this song in her latex bunny costume right here:

I wanted to take some time and tell you guys what I have been up to since I'm not blogging as much as I used to for When A ThinkBubble Bursts ™. Here are some of the things that I have been doing in my free time:

Listening to Joyce Meyer's Beauty For Ashes
On July 23rd, I went on the computer one night and began to listen to an audio version of Joyce Meyer talking about emotional healing. This message is on Disc #4 titled Receiving Emotional Healing.

Along with the book Beauty For Ashes, I also got 4 different teachings on CD & DVD, a personal study guide and a blessing gratitude journal. Listening to these teachings by Joyce has really helped me emotionally. I can relate to what she's saying as far as receiving emotional healing or the different types of change. So, if you're in need of some emotional healing, then I definitely recommend that you buy Joyce's book Beauty for Ashes. I have been reading the book for a while now and using it to incorporate with …

17 Best Song Covers by Ariana Grande

Happy Sweetener Month, everybody! As we gear up for Ariana to release her fourth studio album Sweetener on August 17th, let's take a look back at some of her best song covers by famous singers:

1. Rolling In The Deep by Adele
I remember that I watched this video of Ariana way back in 2012. The way that she did the runs Rolling In The Deep was amazing. She has showed me that not only that she can sing with music, but she can also do a song without music and still make it sound so beautifully.

2. Die In Your Arms by Justin Bieber
On July 26, 2012, Ariana released the official music video of her covering Die In Your Arms by Justin Bieber. I liked how she added her own spin to the song with the piano and also added some new lyrics to the track as well. This is one of my favorite covers by Grande so far.

3. Emotions by Mariah Carey
I do not know that Ariana Grande can cover a Mariah Carey like she did with Emotions. The whistle tones, how her voice sounds like Mariah Carey and even he…
