Halsey "Garden" review

Garden is song by American singer Halsey that was released on February 16, 2016. It was supposed to be on the singer's debut album titled Badlands, but it didn't make the cut.

Halsey first performed this song back in 2014 at one of her first shows and posted a video on Instagram along with the caption:

"This song is called Garden and I performed it for the first time Thursday night. I can’t wait for you guys to hear it. :)”

While she was on her early tour across Europe in 2016, Halsey shared an exclusive CD with members of Camp Badlands, providing a studio demo of “Garden” and a stripped version of “Colors.”

The singer opens up the first verse with:

He said, "Darling, who you praying to?
Was anybody answering you?
Because I've done my part for twelve years now
And I can't seem to get through"

Before moving on to the hook of the track where Halsey mentions her bipolar disorder singing:

And you think my bruised knees are sort of pretty
And I think your tired eyes are kind of nice
And when I first met you, there was a garden
Growing from a black hole in my mind

So, this is like my new favorite song by Halsey and I absolutely love it. I didn't even know that this song existed until I looked it up on YouTube one night and listened to it for myself.

If you guys are loving Halsey's music, then make sure that you go and listen to "Garden" on YouTube:
