Hayley Kiyoko "Demons" review

Demons is a song by singer Hayley Kiyoko that was released on October 11, 2019. It is the second single from Kiyoko's upcoming second studio album I'm Too Sensitive For This S**t.

Lyrically, Demons is about forgiving your inner demons. Hayley starts things off on the first verse with:

There's something in the water
I don't like the flavor, I don't like the taste
Searching for nirvana
Something that'll take it all away from me

On the chorus, Kiyoko is asking for forgiveness for the demons that she has been dealing with singing:

Please forgive me, I've got demons in my head, in my head
Please forgive me, I've got demons in my head
Tryna eat me, tryna feed me lies until I'm dead, 'til I'm dead
Please forgive me, I've got demons in my head (My head)
In my head

I love the fact that "Demons" has a spooky kinda of vibe when you first listen to it. The lyrics, production and the meaning behind this track. It was inspired by the problems that the singer herself has faced in her own life.

I absolutely can't wait to see what else Kiyoko is going to bring with her music this year.
