Hayley Kiyoko "Runaway" review

Runaway (stylized in lowercase) is a song by singer-songwriter Hayley Kiyoko that was released on December 13, 2019. It is the fourth single for the singer's upcoming project I'm Too Sensitive For S**t. She also unveiled the lyric video for the single on the same day.

On "Runaway", Hayley is done with being in a toxic relationship with her lover. And she makes that very clear on the first verse with:

I gave it all to you
Left me exhausted
And the least you can do
Not make me nauseous

Then, Kiyoko is begging for her partner's love who also won't stop giving her mixed signals on the chorus with the lyrics:

If it's not in vain, let me hear you say
Something that won't make, make me run away
If you're not afraid, let me hear you say
Something that won't make, make me run away
Run away

Let me just say that Hayley Kiyoko is on a row with this hit songs. Runaway is a certified banger with its production and lyrics that will have you craving for more music from the Lesbian Jesus. I highly recommend this artist to anyone who is really into supporting LGBT+ singers like her.
